Software Engineer

My research & development interests primarily lie in all kinds of big data systems including analytic databases and distributed systems. I am passionate about leveraging data to gain a deeper understanding of the world. I believe the beauty of data systems lies in a profound understanding of the data itself and identifying opportunities for enhancement, while integrating various aspects of computer science, from algorithms to modern hardware accelerators.

I put a high value on building these systems to practically benefit humanity. For this, I am currently focusing on becoming a well-trained systems engineer and programmer. I am thrilled to experience how brilliant research ideas can lead to fascinating designs and codes, and finally, be released to the world. As a system engineer, I put top priority on working as a team and would be more than happy to work as a collaborating teammate. I am also open to discussing a wide range of topics and areas.

Jun 1, 2026 I started working as a Software Engineer at AXION, South Korea!
Aug 4, 2025 As of today, I’ve completed 18 months of military service and am now discharged — excited for what’s next.
Dec 28, 2023 I will serve as a Military Science and Technology Soldier in the Republic of Korea Army, specializing in big data analysis as a research engineer while fulfilling mandatory military service.
Aug 12, 2022 I have received Bachelor’s degree in Convergence IT Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH)
May 13, 2022 I got accepted to PhD program at Graduate School of AI(GSAI), POSTECH, South Korea. I will start my research on databases and big data systems starting this fall.
